An announcement was made Monday on the upcoming schedule of the Canal Concert Series in Lockport. The Friday night concert series will kick off on June 29, and continue through Aug. 24.
“We’re very excited about this year,” said organizer Kathy Paradowski. “We’re happy to be back here in Lockport.”
Concert organizers also announced that Labatt would be the new sponsor for the event, offering a wide variety of new beverages for concert goers to purchase.
“We started out with Labatt’s 12 years ago,” said Paradowski. “We’re very pleased to have them back.”
Besides soda and water, Labatt Blue Light, Labatt Blue, Labatt Blue Lime and Labatt Blue 52 will be available. They will also have options on tap.
“We’re very excited,” said Labatt USA representative Matt Goldman of the partnership. “This is a tradition in Western New York.”
Mayor Michael Tucker said that the city is ready to “kick-off” off another year. He said the concert series brings in thousands of people to Lockport each week.
“On Friday night, Lockport is the place to be,” he said.
