Youth department welcomes residents to join in the entertainment

NORTH TONAWANDA - The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks will be hosting it’s fifth Wednesday Special Event of the summer at Payne Park as In Jest with Nels Ross will be performing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.
All ages are invited to view this side-splittingly funny variety entertainer and clean comedian, who blends hilarious comedy with incredible juggling acts and edge-of-your-seat stunts. The event is free and will be held at Payne Park, 848 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. In the event of rain the show will be held indoors at the Youth Center gymnasium, 621 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda.
The Payne Park Program will also be continuing its Friday “Theme Days” with Crafty Kite Day which will be held at noon Friday, Aug., 10. Children of all ages are welcome to learn from the experts as members of the Great Lakes Kitefliers Society will help children make and fly their very own kite. Kites are limited to the first 100 children.
