Erie Community College holds pre-collegiate session

Erie Community College’s “Pathways to Success” Pre-Collegiate Studies program ill be starting its next session Monday, Feb. 4.

Registration is for the program will be open until Feb. 4.

This program provides free 10-week, non-credit instruction for adults who are planning to start college but aren’t ready academically or need to improve their skills.

In addition to college reading, writing and mathematics sessions, the program also includes individual assistance with financial aid, career exploration and the ECC application process.

Courses are offered each semester at convenient times at all three ECC campuses. In addition, classes will be offered at the Ken-Ton Community Education Center, located at 3200 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore; the South Buffalo Education Center, 2234 Seneca St., Buffalo; and New Hope/Harvest Hous, 175 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo.

Most classes meet for three hours, two days per week for 10 weeks.

To qualify, students must be at least 17 years old and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. For more information, call 851-1243.
