Dylan Kelly of Buffalo arrested in Springville

SPRINGVILLE — Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard reported the arrest of a Buffalo man for numerous charges, stemming from a disturbance at a village of Springville establishment.

While on patrol in District 7, on Jan. 30 at 1:57 a.m., Deputy Todd Jones, assigned to the Springville substation, along with District 4 deputies Brad Ballantyne, Tim Colling, Justin Bauer, Doug Grube and John Hanna, responded to a 911 call for a disturbance from a man with a knife at the Southtowner Bar on West Main Street in Springville

Ballantyne and the other deputies arrived on scene and found that bar patrons had a man pinned to the ground. The deputies were told that the subject had a knife. The deputies gained control of the subject, disarmed him and took him into custody.

Dylan Kelly, 26, of Buffalo, was arrested. He was charged with criminal trespass first; felony criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor; menacing second, a misdemeanor; harassment second, a violation; disorderly conduct, a violation and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Other patrons reported that Kelly was upset about being kicked out of the bar, earlier.

Kelly was transported to the Erie County Holding Center, pending arraignment in the village of Springville Court.
