Desiderio's Dinner Theatre presents 'Butterflies are Free' by Leonard Gershe

LANCASTER- Director Jay Desiderio presents “Butterflies are Free” by Leonard Gershe opening at Desiderio's Dinner Theatre, 5827 Broadway, Lancaster, Saturday Oct. 27 and running through Dec. 16 on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. Dinner and show packages go from $34 to $44 (depending on entree). For more information or to make reservations call 683-7767.

“Butterflies are Free” is a funny and touching story of a likable young man trying to assert his independence from his loving but over protective mother, by moving into an apartment and living on his own for the first time in his life. The mother neither approves of the apartment or the female free-spirited neighbor that her son has grown quite fond of. This lovely play was later made into a hit movie starring Goldie Hawn and Eddie Albert Jr. in the early 1970s.

The cast includes Sean Marciniak, Justyne Harris, Margo Davis, and Justin Fiordaliso.
