Food pantry needs volunteers Saturday, May 12

LANCASTER- On Saturday, May 12, US Postal Service workers around the country will do something wonderful for their communities. As they drop off mail, they will pick up non-perishable food donations and transport them to local pantries. It will be time consuming and heavy work.
On May 12, please tell your letter carrier how much you appreciate this activity. Then, hop in your car, break out your bike or take a walk to Trinity Pantry, located at 5448 Broadway, in the Village of Lancaster (between the Girls and Boys Club and the library). Join your neighbors of all age to help sort the contents of all the bags of donations. This will take placed from noon to 5 p.m. – and, yes, it will be time-consuming and heavy work. Come any time after noon; stay as long as your time and energy permits.

The mission of Trinity Pantry is to supplement the food resources of eligible families in Lancaster. Drop by to find out more. The pantry is opened to serve clients every Wednesday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., as well as Fridays from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Trinity Pantry is an agency of the Food Bank of Western New York.
