Lockport area physicians continue to join HEALTHeLINK

HEALTHeLINK announced the Lockport-based practices of Thomas Hughes, MD and Eaton Medical have joined Western New York’s clinical information exchange. To date, more than 2,500 physicians and 500 medical practices are utilizing HEALTHeLINK to improve the quality of care, enhance patient safety, and reduce future health care costs through secure and electronic access, with patient consent, to clinical information.
HEALTHeLINK is a collaborative effort among Western New York health care organizations for providers to share medical information, such as lab results, radiology tests, medication histories, and more through an electronic information exchange.
Patients authorize physicians who are involved in their care to access their health information through HEALTHeLINK by signing a consent form, which can be obtained at their physician’s office or by downloading from HEALTHeLINK’s website at www.wnyhealthelink.com.
