History Center holds children's program

During the months of July and August, the Niagara County History Center will be offering weekly children’s programs.
These programs will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays through Aug. 15. The cost of the program is $20 per week. This includes all materials, field trips and an afternoon snack each of the days.
The programs are conducted by museum staff and volunteers at the Niagara County Historical Society, 215 Niagara St. in Lockport. Each week has a different historical theme.
The schedule is as follows: July 25, on Childhood During the Civil War, Aug. 1, on the War of 1812, Aug. 8, on the California Gold Rush and Aug. 15, on Mystery Field Trip.
The programs are open to children ages 7 through 12. Reservations are required. Parents are encouraged to leave their children for the duration of the program.
