LANCASTER- The Lancaster Market will be closing Sunday, Oct. 28, but until then for the next few weeks the market will be celebrating fall, with making sauerkraut, applesauce, carving pumpkins, and Halloween contests.
“We are just having fun enjoying the end of the season and a successful year,” said Ann Jordan, executive director of the Lancaster Market. “The weather was a little hot, but in general we only had a few rainy days.”
Residents can also stop in at the market and enter in the next three weeks tailgate raffle for $50 basket and the CJ Spiller jersey.
A pumpkin carving contest will be held next weekend and there will be prizes awarded to each children’s age group, adult supervision is necessary.
The last day of the market will be celebrated with music so don’t forget to stop by Oct. 28.Check the market’s Website for more details at www.lancastervillagemarket.com or call Jordan at 481-2961. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. The market is located on Transit Road, in the Lancaster Lanes parking lot.
