Clarence United Methodist Church, located at 10205 Greiner Road, is participating in “40 Days in the Word,” beginning Jan. 27. This six-week study by Rick Warren is based on the belief that knowing and applying the word should create the foundation of our lives. If you have studied the bible yourself, in a class, or listened to many sermons, do you find yourself asking, “Yes, but how?” This study will teach you how to read the bible and how to apply it to your life.
The study involves individual participation with a daily devotion time of 15 minutes; small group participation, which consists of a short video and discussion once a week; Sunday worship service with services designed for “40 Days in the Word”; and the Micah 6:8 project where each small group will work on a mission project to put faith into action.
More information can be found at www.saddlebackresources.com. To join the congregation in this education and motivating study, please contact the church office at 759-8921. You can be placed in a small group, please contact the office so a group can be put together. Invite your friends and neighbors.

The first question that comes to mind for me is, the "mayor" and her husband are both in the fire department, both EMT's, so why instead of stopping the ambulance didn't they just take over if the driver wasn't qualified? It's real comforting knowing that if you call 911 in Farnham your ambulance might be delayed by a mayor on a power trip. Someone should remind her this isn't a dictatorship and put her in her place. Excellent representation of the village, but what do you expect from someone who won the position by default? Maybe next election they could at least get a chimp to run against her, I'm sure you can guess who they'll vote for this time.
