For more than two decades, Hamburg Floorcovering has continued to grow.

As a result of the continued success of the long-time business, they outgrew their former location and recently moved into its new location at 3882 South Park Ave., in Blasdell, at the site of the former CVS Pharmacy.

Owned and operated by Todd Czarcinski, Hamburg Floorcovering’s move was in large part due to the high volume of business it has continued to garner, said Ann Marie Redmond, office manager at Hamburg Floorcovering.

“He’s been in business for 21 years,” said Redmond.

Because of the solid reputation of the business – which works with both residential and commercial projects – Hamburg Floorcovering is prospering, which facilitated the move.

Among the clients they have worked with include Hilbert College, Buffalo State College, the University at Buffalo, Rite-Aid and Dollar General, Redmond said.

“We do a lot of residential as well,” she said.

Redmond said they are all excited over the recent move, because it is a “big space” that will allow them to make the business even stronger.

Hamburg Floorcovering deals with hardwood, ceramics, carpet and linoleum, as well as tile work, Redmond said.

“We have all the major brands,” Redmond said. This includes products made by Mannington and Armstrong.

When performing projects, Redmond said there are a number of factors that help determine how long it takes to complete, but she said it is normally a week or two from the start of the process to its completion.

“It’s pretty quick,” she said.

Hamburg Floorcovering has a number of employees, including Erik Zajac, who is a commercial estimator and Bob and Jay, who handle the sales floor. In total there are 15 employees.

Despite the increase in business, Redmond said Hamburg Floorcovering will be ready to tackle any job and customers will not have to wait a long time to see the work completed.

When it is really busy, they have subcontractors who assist with the work.

“They’re great. We’ve used them for a long time,” Redmond said.

One of the reasons the business has done so well, she said, is that Hamburg Floorcovering will continue to go back to any home or business until the customer is completely satisfied with the work.

As a result of more than 20 years of hard work, Redmond said she is amazed at how much work is sent there was as a result of word of mouth by happy customers.

Hamburg Floorcovering is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Despite the move, and even opening a location in Lancaster a few years ago, Redmond said what is nice is that “we’re local” and they still have the “personal touch” with customers.
