Cookie contest Dec. 8 in Barker

The Friends of the Barker Library presents a cookie contest and auction on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Barker Library.
The proceeds of the contest and auction will benefit the library and participation is open to all cookie bakers and cookie lovers.
Cookie bakers are invited to enter the contest and bring their best recipes.
Each $3 entry provides the opportunity to win a grand prize and to have their cookies and recipe auctions off to the highest bidder.
There will be three cookie categories of judging: cutouts, bars and general cookies. No baked goods needing refrigeration may enter the contest.
To sign up for the cookie contest, stop by the Barker Library by Saturday, Dec. 1.
The cookies must be dropped off for judging by 1:30 p.m. Dec. 8. The selection of winners take place from 2 to 3 p.m.
All interested cookie lovers are invited to the auction portion of the event at 3:30 p.m.
The auction is open to all and a cookie entry is not needed to participate.
