ELMA - Annunciation School in Elma made several improvements to it facility over the summer months, continuing an ongoing trend to upgrade the educational setting.
The school’s gym, which saw the installation of a much-needed new floor near the conclusion of the 2011-12 school year, has been completely repainted.
A dedication ceremony for the “new” gym will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, when the school hosts a Sports Night and homecoming event for current students and families, parishioners, alumni, and former athletes and coaches.
The event will feature a sports banner dedication, a sports-themed silent auction and refreshments.
New floors were installed this summer in all second-floor classrooms, grades three through eight.
This completes a project that began in the Summer of 2011 when new floors were installed on the school’s first floor.
Additionally, the school has added a new SMARTBoard in its art and music room. Students from Pre-K through Grade 8 will benefit from the placement of this new technology.
Located at 7580 Clinton St., Annunciation School is home to The Center for Health Science, a unique and hands-on two-year curriculum for seventh and eighth grade students. For more information about the school, please visit www.annunciationschoolelma.com
