Navy region Mid-Atlantic uses informational video to announce Buffalo Navy Week

BUFFAlO - Navy Region Mid-Atlantic has posted the first informational video to spread the word about Buffalo Navy Week, the week-long celebration of our maritime services scheduled Sept. 10 through 17.
The video announcement highlights several of the events that will be a part of this year’s Navy Week which also commemorates the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the composition of the Star-Spangled Banner. To view the video, visit http://youtu.be/JekTYSS8rSA.
One of 15 signature events around the country, Buffalo Navy Week is an opportunity for area citizens to see their maritime services up close, and for Sailors and Coast Guardsmen to contribute to the community.
The observance of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and is a salute to all Sailors and Marines who fought gallantly in that conflict, who served in all our nation’s conflicts since then, and who are defending freedom around the world..
