Summer picnic at Pendleton nutrition site Aug. 21

Legislator Tony Nemi along with Councilmen Dave Leible and Ron Morrison announce the annual Pendleton Old Time Summer Picnic Lunch will be held at noon Aug. 21.

The picnic will celebrate one year of operation for the Eat Well Stay Well Dining Pendleton nutrition site.

The lunch will be held froom 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Boulevard at Bear Ridge Road.

A special presentation will be given at 11 a.m. by New York State EPIC representative with information about prescription drugs.

The current suggested contribution for those 60 or over is $3, while the suggested contribution for those under 60 is $4.

All contributions are kept confidential, and no one will be denied a meal due to inability to contribute.

Make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance by contacting Bonnie Tilyon, Pendleton Site Director at 418-4143.

The menu will be a Sahlen’s hot dog with potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, frosted brownie, skim, chocolate or two percent milk, coffee or tea.

There will be a special ice cream treat from Uncle G’s Ice Cream of Pendleton.

Lunch is sponsored by the Niagara County Office for the Aging.
