Trocaire College to offer essential courses

SOUTH BUFFALO - Every licensed practical nurse, optometrist, physician, physician assistant, podiatrist, registered professional nurse, and specialist assistant practicing in New York State is required to receive training in infection control and barrier precautions.
Trocaire College is an approved provider for this coursework and is offering the NYS Mandated Infection Control Training course from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 and Tuesday, June 19.
In addition, CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 19. This course will cover adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic life support procedures. Foreign body airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation, special resuscitation situations and other cardiopulmonary emergencies will be covered.
