LEWISTON - Some things just get better with time - the Steve Miller Band falls into that category.
The Steve Miller Band will makes its way to Western New York when they play Artpark in Lewiston on Tuesday, July 31.
A true legend and innovator in rock and roll, Miller rightfully picked up the nickname of Steve “Guitar” Miller early in his career and proves time and time again why it’s so fitting.
While brilliant guitar work is the hallmark of Miller’s career it’s his lasting power in the business that truly speaks to his talent.
With a library of work that includes the hits “Take The Money And Run,” “Jet Airliner,” and “Abracadabra”
Miller has found that perfect balance of staying true to his roots and maintaining
that connection with long time fans while still drawing new ones in.
Classics like “Jungle Love,” “The Joker,” “Fly Like An Eagle” and “Rockn’ Me” are forever engrained in the hearts of fans as the soundtrack of so many lives.
But at the heart of it all is the fact that Steve Miller clearly still loves what he does.
He isn’t forced out onto the road because of a financial situation in his life. He’s out there because music still gets inside him and lights him up.
Whether its a room of 10 people ora stadium of 10,000-you’d still get the same kind of passion and energy from Steve Miller.
In a career that began in 1967, the Steve Miller Band has churned out 18 studio albums, three lives records and nearly 30 singles. Complete with a resume that includes a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Steve Miller Band is one of a kind.
Tickets for the show are $5 in advance and $10 the day of the performance.
The concert is all-ages.
