Lancaster Middle School students participate in Junior Trades Academy

The Lancaster Youth Bureau sponsored the Junior Trades Academy which was held at the Lancaster Middle School this summer. The Junior Trades Academy participants learned the techniques used by professionals in the trades today, including the basics of hand and power tools and the process of seeing a project through from start to finish. 
All participants were involved in the design and creation of multiple projects, including building sets for the youth bureau’s Summer Performing Arts Academy, as well as a take home project. Not only did the participants have the satisfaction of building something themselves, but they also learned valuable, practical, life-long skills.
