Police Blotter of the Tonawandas for the week of May 15
Daniel J. Martucci, 28, Witmer Road, North Tonawanda, was charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and criminal mischief at 3:31 p.m., Monday, May 2. Martucci was stealing a pair of compression socks out of a local business. Officers were able to locate him and pursued Martucci on foot. During his arrest, Martucci got into a fight with police officers and ended up damaging the police vehicle.
He was held for court.
Adrian L. Smith, 38, Tonawanda Street, Buffalo, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 9:31 a.m., Tuesday, May 3. He was held for court.
Darryl E. Latimore, 37, Reverso Road, Evans, was arrested on a warrant for a bad check at 10:44 a.m., Tuesday, May 3. He was held for court.
William A. Fleischman, 22, Windermere Boulevard, Amherst, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny at 1:27 p.m., Tuesday, May 3.
He was held for court.
Michael W. MacLeod, 20, Grant Street, Tonawanda, was arrested for harassment in the second degree during an altercation at a Grant Street residence at 6:03 p.m., Wednesday, May 4. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Brent E. Roper Jr., 22, Prospect Street, Tonawanda, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. The arrest occurred at 12 a.m., Thursday, May 5. He was held for court.
Adam J. Shugg, 31, Minerva Street, Tonawanda, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 5. Also arrested was Sara M. Hack 28, Victoria Boulevard, Kenmore, who was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment at a residence on Minerva Street. Both were released on an appearance ticket.
Virginia A. Giddings, 29, Young Street, Tonawanda, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a narcotic with the intent to sell at 8:57 a.m., Friday, May 6. Police seized various prescription drugs after an investigation, which was conducted with a search warrant. She was held for court.
Mark P. Breslin Jr., 24, Crawely Avenue, Buffalo, was arrested on a warrant for endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of an accident at 5 p.m., Friday, May 6. The arrest came after a Wednesday, April 27 accident, where Breslin hit a juvenile bicyclist with his vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle saw the bicyclist get back up and told Breslin that the bicyclist was alright and to keep going. Breslin’s license plate number was giving to the police.
He was held on $250 bail.
Brian Zellner, 23, C Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested for possession of marijuana and an equipment violation at 3:51 a.m., Monday, May 9.
Zellner was pulled over for having improper headlights. After speaking to Zellner about the headlights, the officer could detect an odor or marijuana.
Zellner was released on an appearance ticket.
