Adolph H. Namlik, 84, of Route 353, Gowanda, died July 8, 2012 at LakeShore Hospital.
Mr. Namlik was a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII veteran; owned and operated two funeral homes; worked as a coroner; Citizen of the Year in West Virginia; worked for Farner and Parker, Gowanda Electronics, JN Adam’s, Gowanda Psychiatric Center, Gowanda and Cattaraugus Police; US Magistrate and Town of Persia Judge; member of NRA, Slovenian Club and Gowanda American Legion Post #409.
He was the husband of Eileen (LaCava) Namlik; son of the late Adolph T. and Viola R. Namlik; father of Adolph C. Namlik of Gowanda, Richard (Michele) Namlik of Neffs, Oh., Sherry Smith of Cattaraugus, Karen (Chuck) Brinkmeir of Gowanda; also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to autism or cerebral palsy charities.
Arrangements were by Mentley Funeral Home, Inc., Gowanda.
