PLESS, Howard E., 90, of Tonawanda, passed away July 24; beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Heinle) Pless; caring brother of Dora (Gordon) Bugenhagen and Katherine (late William) Chapman; predeceased by one sister and two brothers; also survived by nieces and nephews.
McGOWAN, James E., 85, of Tonawanda, passed away July 25; beloved husband for 56 years of Jill T. (nee Truckenport) McGowan whom he met at Crystal Beach; loving father of Dr. James P. (Diane) McGowan and Patricia J. (George) Nicola; cherished grandfather of Megan, Molly and Mallory McGowan; caring brother of Mary Naples and predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
WITKOSKI, Leona (nee Sawicki), 94, of Kenmore, passed away July 28; beloved wife of the late Robert P. Witkoski, Sr.; Loving mother of Robert P. (Linda) Whitney of Hingman, MA; cherished grandmother of Kathryn (David) Shore, Sarah and Kristen Whitney; dear sister of Edna Bialek and the late Helen Haracz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Amelia Outreach Program.
FICK, Marjorie (nee Blatner), 98, of Kenmore, passed away July 30; beloved wife of the late Vincent H. Fick; loving mother of James V. Fick, Carolyn (late Richard) Noel and the late Kenneth (Frances) Fick; cherished grandmother of Jean, Kenneth, Jr. and Michael (Carrie) Fick; dear sister of Rita (late Francis) Sheedy, Jeanne (late Walter) Peters and predeceased by the late Helen (late William) Flore, Agnes (late George) Speck, Gerald (late Eileen) and Joseph (Dolores) Blatner; also survived by nieces and nephews.
