Martha L. Howard, 85, of Forestville, died August 20, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Mrs. Howard worked at Howard Lime Spreading Service., and at Hills & Matteson for many years before she and her husband purchased the business to establish Howards; member of the Forestville Wesleyan Church; past member of the South Dayton Free Methodist Church.
She was the wife of Richard J. Howard of Forestville; daughter of Silas Guy and Ruth (Meyer) Matteson; mother of David R. (Nancy) Howard of South Dayton, Sandra L. (Steve) Rountree of St. Petersburg, Fla., Judith L. (Jim) Rose; sister of Virginia B. Gier of South Dayton, and the late Mary E. Hills; also survived by four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Hills Funeral Chapel, Balcom Corners, South Dayton on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at Forestville Wesleyan Church, Prospect Road, Forestville.
Memorials may be made to South Dayton Fire Department, Box 88, South Dayton, NY 14138 or Forestville Wesleyan Church, 9603 Prospect Road, Forestville, NY 14062.
Arrangements were by Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton.
