H. Arthur Carman, 93, formerly of Gowanda, died March 18, 2012 at VA Medical Center in Syracuse.
Mr. Carman was a U.S. WWI and Korean Conflict veteran; owned and operated Carman’s Flowers and Greenhouses in Gowanda; worked for Continental Can Co. in North Collins; Senior Volunteer for J.N. Adam DDSO; member of American Legion Post 409 in Gowanda; lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans; member and past president of St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society in Gowanda; awarded St. Joseph the Worker medal and certificate.
He was the husband of Ellen (Lubow) Carman; son of the late Arthur L. and Louise (Brenner) Carman; father of the late Dale R. (Alma Miller) Carman; also survived by two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
