LANCASTER- I’m glad to say that the Village of Lancaster is looking better after our successful KLEAN project. Thanks to all the help from our young, old, male, and female citizens.
We still have a long way to go. May be an adopt a block project would help. If the residents young and old got out of the house a few times a week and patrolled their neighborhood we could achieve this goal. If everybody picked up one piece of litter we would have the neatest area in the county or state.
Also, if you know your neighbor is away pull their totes and cans off the curbs and streets. We always seem to have winds on the garbage days.
It’s really not hard to do. You really need to take some pride in your neighborhood and village.
P.S. To Mike from the Village of Lancaster, I’m the retired gentleman who is working on the DPW flowerbeds. Not because they made me do it, but because I saw they needed some help. It’s a lot better doing that than sitting around doing nothing and complaining about everything.
I also commend anyone else who has taken some pride in their surroundings.
