• Deputies responded to a report of an injured jet skier at Snyder Beach in Brant June 23.
Steven Szefler, 42, of Clinton Street, Elma, was transported to ECMC with a leg fracture.
According to authorities, Szefler reported that he was hit by another jetski or vessel, causing him to fall off his jet ski, injuring his leg.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Marine Unit is handling the investigation.
• Melissa Gould, 48, of Taylor Hollow Road, Collins, was charged June 24 with criminal trespassing and fourth-degree criminal mischief after Deputies responded to a report from a Taylor Hollow Road resident, complained of ongoing problems with his neighbor, who allegedly damaged his property.
Gould is due in Collins Town Court.
• Deputies responded to a report of a house fire on Brant Road in the Village of North Collins.
All occupants of the house were safely evacuated and North Collins Fire Department extinguished the fire.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Fire Investigation Unit said they determined the fire was started by an unattended candle. The damage estimate has not been determined.
