Erie County Sheriff's report for May 27

• Jason Scanlon, 33, of Lackawanna, was charged May 12 with six counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, aggravated unlicensed operation for driving on a suspended license, and numerous other infractions of the vehicle and traffic law following a vehicle striking a telephone pole, shearing it in half on Langford Road in North Collins.

Scanlon is due in North Collins Town Court. In addition, he was also wanted by Blasdell Village Police on an outstanding warrant. He was turned over to Blasdell Police.

• David Pierce, 50, of Route 438, Gowanda, was charged May 14 with menacing following a complaint.

According to authorities, Pierce was allegedly firing a handgun and threatening to shoot the complainant with whom he was having a dispute.

Pierce was transported to Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.

• Scott White, 46, of Route 438, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration in connection with the above incident.

• Samuel D. Serafin, 22, of Lakewood Drive, Hamburg, was charged May 15 with unlawful possession of marijuana after being stopped on Milestrip Road in Brant.

Serafin is due in court.

• Denise R. Isaac, 29, of Hawk Meadows, Irving, was charged May 19 with DWI and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after being stopped on Old Lake Shore Road, Brant.

According to authorities, Pierce had a suspended license and had an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.

Pierce is due in Brant Town Court.

• Brian Wiesmore, 29, of Quaker Street, Collins, suffered a broken leg May 16 after losing control of a dirt bike he was riding.

Wiesmore was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

• Robert J. Pierce, 19, of Milestrip Road, Brant, was charged May 19 with burglary and criminal mischief following a report of a broken window at Holy Spirit Church on Halley Road, North Collins.

According to authorities, a Deputy searched the church and found Pierce sleeping inside, who had earlier that evening been charged with disorderly conduct by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

Pierce had allegedly attempted to take various items from the church, including bottles of wine and alcohol, which he consumed prior to falling asleep in the church.

Pierce was transported to Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
