Cattaraugus County Sheriffs report for June 24

• Andrew C. Knopf, 23, of Cabic Road, Dayton, was charged June 9 with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespassing and fourth-degree criminal mischief stemming from an incident that took place on Allen Street in Dayton, Deputies say.
Knopf was arraigned in Dayton Town Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. He is due back in court.
• Michael J. Hill, 21, of Fardink Road, Ashville, was charged June 9 with unlawful possession of marijuana after, Deputies say, he was found with a small quantity of marijuana on Mill Street in South Dayton.
He is due in court.
Also, at the same location, a 16-year-old male was issued an appearance ticket for possession of alcohol under the age of 21. He, too, is due in court.
• Brandi J. Huchingson, 22, of North Franklin Street, Cattaraugus, was charged June 14 with fourth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
According to authorities, Huchingson did not report that the father of her baby was living with her; nor did she report his wages on her applications that she submitted to Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services from January to February of this year. Huchingson had reportedly received $1,100.50 in child-care assistance that she was not entitled to.
Huchingson is due in Olean City Court.
• Jeffrey A. Schosek, 29, of Route 353, New Albion, was charged June 10 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration following a domestic incident at his residence.
According to authorities, Schosek allegedly broke a telephone, preventing an emergency call from being placed while he was being aggressive at his residence.
Schosek’s bail was set at $750 and he is due in New Albion Town Court.
•Roseann K. Loomis, 32, of Meyers Road, East Otto, was charged June 18 with fourth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
According to authorities, Loomis allegedly failed to inform Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services that she had started babysitting and receiving wages from November 2010 to February 2011, receiving $1,380 in cash assistance that she was not entitled to.
Loomis is due in Olean City Court.
