Erie County Sheriff's report for Oct. 21

• A Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the report of a pedestrian struck in the parking lot Oct. 12 of the Seneca Bingo and Gaming complex on Erie Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

Claudia Payne, 68, of Park Street, Gowanda, was transported to LakeShore Hospital with a head injury after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot.

• A motorcyclist was airlifted to ECMC with internal injuries after losing control of the motorcycle he was driving Oct. 12 on Route 438, just outside of Gowanda.

Gerald Redford II, 36, of Gowanda, was listed in critical condition as of Oct. 13, per a Sheriff’s Deputy, who is investigating the accident.

• Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a serious single-car accident Oct. 13 on Belcher Road, North Collins, that sent the fire occupants to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Adam Franz, 21, of Hamburg, a rear middle seat passenger, was ejected in the accident. He was airlifted by Mercy Flight to ECMC with back injuries.

Kelsey Mueller, 20, of Long Avenue, Hamburg, was ticketed as a result of the accident.

Authorities say that the cause of the accident appears to be that the driver was unfamiliar with the road.

• Jordan Oconnell, 29, of Route 438, Irving, was charged Oct. 12 with criminal mischief following an incident in the parking lot of Wolf’s Run on Route 438.

According to authorities, a vehicle was keyed in the parking lot and the incident was caught by parking lot security cameras.

Oconnell was transported to Erie County Holding Center, pending arraignment in North Collins Town court.

• Ian Johengen, 32, of Division Street, Versailles, was charged Oct. 13 with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and unlawful possession of marijuana following a single-car accident on Versailles Plank Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

According to authorities, a vehicle with extensive damage was on its side and Johengen had attempted to report his vehicle stolen to State Police in Collins.

Johengen is due in court.
