Unlawful imprisonment
Joseph A. Marasco, 24, Coronet Drive, Tonawanda, was arrested for unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief of a cell phone and harassment in the second degree. Marasco was involved in an altercation with a female, during which he smashed her cell phone and alledgedly held her against her will. He was held for court.
August 28
Assault
Michael H. Krawczyk, 46, Hillcrest Road, Tonawanda, was arrested for assault in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon Tuesday, Aug. 28. Krawczyk was involved in a dispute with another male, during which he smashed a wooden chair of the other males back.
AUO
Paul E. Donoughe, 40, Killewald Avenue, Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree Tuesday, Aug. 28. He was held for court.

John R. Luper, III, 22, Delaware Street, Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for harassment in the second degree Wednesday, Aug. 29. He was held for court.
Narcotics
Thomas J. Anderson, 40, Sixth Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested on a warrant for possession of narcotics Wednesday, Aug. 29. He was held for court.

Michael H. Krawczyk, 46, Hillcrest Road, Tonawanda, was arrested for DWI, driving with a BAC of more than .08 percent, driving without a license and making an unsafe turn Thursday, Aug. 30. Krawczyk was observed making an unsafe turn onto Fuller Avenue. During a traffic check, patrol determined he was intoxicated. BAC was .13, he was held for court.
Criminal Contempt
Gary M. Wright, 44, Delaware Street, Tonawanda, was arrested for criminal contempt Thursday, Aug. 30. Wright violated a stay away order. He was held for court.

Shawn M. Brandel, 24, Forest Hill Drive, Williamsville, surrendered on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree Thursday, Aug. 30. All fines were paid.

Jimmy T. Garcia, Jr., 22, Elmwood Avenue, Niagara Falls, was arrested on a warrant for criminal possession of a controlled substance Thursday, Aug. 30. He was held for court.

Paul Carpenter, 69, Niagara Street, Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for larceny Friday, Aug. 31, pertaining to an incident that occurred Wednesday, Aug. 15. He was held for court.

Linda M. Johnson, 45, Franklin Street, Tonawanda, was arrested on a warrant for DWI Friday, Aug. 31. She was held for court.

Robert E. Dendy, 63, Hillcrest Road, Tonawanda, was arrested for disorderly conduct Sunday, Sept. 2. He was observed urinating in public, next to the City of Tonawanda Police Station. He was released on an appearance ticket.

James E. Austin, 19, Cronley Avenue, Buffalo, was arrested for petit larceny Sunday, Sept. 2. Austin, a cashier at Tops on Niagara Street, was caught stealing money from the store. He was released on an appearance ticket.

Melissa A. Dobiesz, 22, Prospect Street, Angola, was picked up on a warrant for grand larceny, Sept. 4. She was held for court.

Thomas D. Miskell, 51, Grove Street, Tonawanda, was arrested on a warrant for criminal contempt Sept. 4. Miskell was found with a female he was not supposed to be in contact with. He was held for court.

Daniel J. Barnes, 26, North Avenue, North Tonawanda, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree Tuesday, Sept. 4. He was held for court.

Department Incident Statistics
From Aug. 27 to Sept. 2
• The fire department responded to 30 EMS incidents, including one motor vehicle accident.
Three Alarms of Fires:
1. Just before 4 p.m. Aug. 30, crews responded to 486 Fletcher St., to a fire in an electrical outlet.
2. Just before 5 p.m. Aug. 30, crews responded to 61 Grove St., to a residential fire alarm.
There was no fire, it was a false alarm.
3. At 7:06 p.m. Aug. 30, the fire department was dispatched to 5 Main St., (Tonawanda Towers), to a general fire alarm. Food was burning on the stove, crews ventilated smoke in apartment 503.
• One Still alarm: On Aug. 27 crews were dispatched to Cordes Drive to a smoke detector alarming. There was no fire, it was a false alarm.
• Three Investigations:
1. Just before 8 p.m. Aug. 31, crews investigated an illegal open burning at 203 Niagara St.
2. At noon Sept., 1, crews investigated an illegal open burning at 19 Gibson St.
3. At 12:39 p.m. Sept. 2, fire investigated an illegal open burning at 65 Cleveland Ave.
• Two Mutual Aid Responses:
1. One pumper and crew responded to assist Town of Tonawanda firefighters in fighting large brush fire at 12:27 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1.
2. One Fire Police Unit and several Fire Police crews were sent to the Town of Tonawanda to assist with traffic control needed at various intersections due to large brush fire just after 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, near Sheridan and River Road.
