Matthew Golabek arrested in Springville for DWI

SPRINGVILLE — Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Collins was patrolling Pearl Street in Springville, at its intersection with East Main Street, on Dec. 7, when his patrol car was nearly struck by a vehicle that was making an illegal right turn.
Collins stopped the vehicle and found the driver, Matthew Golabek, 78, of Springville, to be intoxicated. The subject was given a breath test, which showed that his blood alcohol level was .18 percent.
Golabek was released to a family member on an appearance ticket, returnable to the village of Springville Court.
