Lancaster man struck by vehicle

LANCASTER- On Monday morning, Lancaster Police were dispatched to Pavement Road near Genesee Street for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, leaving the pedestrian with severe injuries.
A vehicle operated by a 34-year-old Lancaster man was traveling north on Pavement Road when he struck the pedestrian, 67, of Lancaster, that may have been possibly walking in part of the driving lane.
The victim was conscious at the scene and was transported to the Erie County Medical Center.
Police said that weather conditions at the time of the incident, light misty rain and dark, may have contributed to the accident.
No charges have been filed at this time and police are continuing their investigation.
