Branden A. Blaszczak, 19, Fifth Avenue, North Tonawanda, was arrested Oct. 26 for petit larceny.

Kevin A. Gigliotti, 25, Vandervoort Street, North Tonawanda, was arrested Oct. 29 for petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree. Bail was set at $250.
Mischief
Micha J. Privett, 31, Turner Street, Clearwater, FL, was arrested Oct. 29 for criminal mischief in the fourth degree. Bail was set at $500.

Kelly L. Orr, 35, Apple Street, Lackawanna, surrendered on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree on Monday, Oct. 22.

Kenneth P. Hartrich, Jr., 32, Brierlee Road, Town of Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for revoked registration on Tuesday, Oct. 23. He was held for court.

Alexi M. Salamone, 25, Dekoab Street, Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for suspended registration on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
DWI
Nancy J. Giannelli, 46, Wadsworth Avenue, Tonawanda, was arrested Oct. 24 for DWI, aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding in a school zone and drinking alcohol in a vehicle. Giannelli drove her vehicle into the back of a liquor store on Broad Street and the drove away. Police later caught her on Fletcher Street, Tonawanda, where she was found with wine in her coffee mug. Her BAC was .17.
October 25
Pedestrian Struck
At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, it was reported that Merinda Newmann, 48, Adam Street, Tonawanda, struck Mildred B. Pagels, 84, Adam Street, with her vehicle as Pagels was crossing the street. After an investigation it was determined that the vehicle did not strike Pagels, but that Pagels walked into the back of the vehicle. She is currently getting her head and tailbone checked out at the hospital.
Criminal Mischief
Mary K. Kanino, 42, Main Street, Tonawanda, and her daughter Heather A. Hazelet, 22, Main Street, Tonawanda, were arrested for criminal mischief and making graffiti. Kanino and Hazelet were wring their names and their date of birth in the new cement that the city had poured for sidewalks.
During the arrest, Hazelet questioned the officers by asking, “Everbody does that, you aren’t going to arrest us are you?” Both were released on appearance tickets.

Bicycle accident
During the early morning hours on Saturday, Oct. 27, it was reported that William M. Ginnick, 26, Chipman Place, North Tonawanda, struck a bicyclist, Stephen J. Zielski, 62, Grove Street, as he was riding near Main and East Hill Streets, Tonawanda.
Law enforcement is still investigating the accident, however at this time, they are under the assumption that Zielski rode in front of the car, and it was not the motorists fault. No charges have been filed at this time. Zielski is at Erie County Medical Center due to injuries he sustained.

Obstruction
Brian J. Kwietniewski, 26, Gatewood Lane, Williamsville, was arrested Oct. 28 for obstruction of governmental administration; no license; drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal.
Law enforcement received a report of a male striking a female in the Tim Horton’s parking lot. When they arrived, they observed a car speeding away from the scene. It was soon determined that Kwietniewski was the male in question. When patrol attempted to pull him over, he stopped the car and continued to flee on foot. Once apprehended, Kwietniewski told police that he started running, because he was drunk and had issues with his license. He was held on $250 bail.

Joseph C. Wagner, 36, was arrested Oct. 21 for criminal obstruction of breathing - applying pressure, harassment in the second degree - physical contact, and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree.
