William Innes of Buffalo arrested in Machias

MACHIAS — Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Innes, 21, of Buffalo on Sunday, July 29 at 4:30 a.m. in the town of Machias.
During the course of an investigation of a previous incident, Innes was found to have given a fictitious name in order to avoid being arrested on a warrant issued in Tonawanda. He also made a written statement using the fake name and was taken into custody for false impersonation and making a false written statement. He was searched and a bag containing suspected cocaine was found.
Innes was arraigned and bail was set at $5,000. He is due back in the town of Machias Court.
