Police blotter for the week of Sunday, June 3

May 23

Assault

Joseph L. Suszynski, 19, was arrested May 23 for assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

Open container

Johnny Oliver, 25, was arrested May 23 for possession of an open container in public.

Dis-Con

Andre A. Garner, 41, was arrested May 23 for disorderly conduct and using obscene language and gestures.

May 24

Assault

William H. Taybor, 52, Gibson Street, Tonawanda, was arrested May 24 for assault in the third degree and criminal contempt. Taybor was involved in a disturbance on Gibson Street, Tonawanda. He was held for court.

Burglary

Tammi C. Iser, 40, was arrested May 24 for burglary in the second degree - illegal entry, and petit larceny.

May 26

Petit larceny

Phillip A. Caparaso, 19, Sawyer Avenue, Depew, was arrested May 26 for petit larceny. Caparaso was observed going through vehicles in the police parking lot on Niagara Street, Tonawanda.

Assault

Broaderick Edgerton, 36, was arrested May 26 for assault in the third degree - with intent to cause physical injury, criminal mischief in the second degree and criminal mischief in the third degree - causing damage to property in the amount of $250.

Mischief

Yolanda Johnson, 27, was arrested May 26 for criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

Possession

William L. Connors, 20, Ruie Road, North Tonawanda, was arrested May 26 for unlawful possession of marijuana. Connors was

May 27

Harassment

Patrick B. Hagerty, 25, Whitehaven Road, Grand Island, was arrested May 27 for harassment in the second degree. Hagerty was involved in a fight on Main Street, Tonawanda. He was released.

DWI

Michelle R. Foster, 37, Wadsworth Avenue, Tonawanda, was arrested May 27 for DWI (Felony), driving with a BAC of more than .08, reckless endangerment in the second degree and failure to keep right.

Foster was speeding while intoxicated and she hit a tree, swerved and then almost drove into someone who was walking and pushing a stroller. BAC was .13, she was held for court.

Outstanding warrant

David N. Paone, 35, Albemarle Street, Buffalo, was pulled over for a violation on May 28 by patrol operating the Tonawanda Police Boat. During the traffic stop it was determined Paone had an outstanding warrant from McKean County, PA. He was held for McKean County.

May 28

Grand larceny

Benjamin J. Mattucci, 30, Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo; Craig M. Hynes, 37, Esser Avenue, Buffalo; and Donald A. Wittcop, 31, Schenck Street, North Tonawanda, were arrested Monday for grand larceny in the fourth degree (Felony), criminal trespass in the third degree and trespass.

The three men were observed by patrol at a business on Fillmore Avenue, Tonawanda, stealing copper. They were each held on $2,500 bail.

May 29

Possession

Jayson Winkoop, 20, Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop for possession of marijuana and not wearing a seat belt. He was released on an appearance ticket.

Multiple Charges

Shawn T. Anderson, 19, Fletcher Street, Tonawanda, was arrested Tuesday on a bench warrant for narcotics on Tuesday. Upon arrest, law enforcement determined Anderson was in possession of stolen checks, which he took from his grandmother, forged her signature and tried to cash at Tops.

He was additionally charged with three counts of petit larceny, three counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and two counts of forgery.

Petit larceny

Kory R. Golding, 18, Ward Road, Wheatfield, was arrested Tuesday for petit larceny.

Bail was set at $500.

Dis-Con

Brandon J. Longo, 22, Burnett Place, Tonawanda, arrested Tuesday for disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $100.

Harassment

Lynn A. Mielcarek, 40, Ruie Road, North Tonawanda, was arrested Tuesday for harassment in the second.

She was released on an appearance ticket.

May 30

DWI

Garrett R. Nimmo, 27, Sunshine Drive, Amherst, was arrested Wednesday for DWI, failure to obey a traffic sign, making an unsafe turn and making an improper left turn.

Nimmo admitted to patrol he drank five drinks before choosing to drive. He refused to take the roadside breath test and was held for court.

Violation

Nicholas E. Roessler, 16th Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested Wednesday for a city ordinance violation.

Bail was set at $100.
