Nagel arrested for assault on female

On Dec. 30, the Kenmore Police Department responded to Kenmore Mercy Hospital to take a report concerning an assault victim who was injured in an attack on Nassau Avenue, Village of Kenmore. The investigation disclosed that the victim, Pamela Harmon, 54, was attacked in her home by person or persons known to her. Harmon suffered severe head injuries that required surgery from the attack.

She was apparently struck with a blunt object or objects, resulting in numerous wounds to her head. Kenmore Police Lt. TJ Phillips and Officer AJ Kiefer were the responding officers. The investigation was ultimately handed over to Detectives Joseph Vacanti and David Lewandowski.

After interviews and evidence was collected, the Kenmore Police department arrested Kurt Nagel, 25, who is the boyfriend of Harmon’s daughter, and charged him with assault in the first degree. Nagel was arraigned before Judge Scott Riordan, who set bail at $100,000 pending a felony hearing and further court proceedings. The investigation is continuing.
