City of Tonawanda

June 28

DWI

Sunita S. Bhatia, 31, Charles Gate Circle, Amherst, was arrested June 28 for DWI Felony, aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO) in the first degree (Felony), driving without an interlock, speeding, AUO in the third degree and AUO in the second degree. Bhatia was stopped for speeding on Niagara Street, Tonawanda. law enforcement detected alcohol and after a DMW check it was determined Bhatia was convicted of a DWI in Buffalo in 2011, her license had been revoked and she should not have been able to operate her vehicle with an interlock. She refused to take the breath test.

Warrant Arrest

Chrystal D. Gordon, 32, Robert Drive, North Tonawanda, was arrested June 28 on a warrant for criminal contempt.

Possession of stolen property

Shawn T. Anderson, 19, Fletcher Street, Tonawanda, was arrested June 28 on a warrant for criminal possession of stolen proerty, grand larceny and six counts of forgery in the third degree. Anderson stole checks from a family member and cashed six of those checks.

June 29

Menacing

Martin G. Peehler, 54, Canton Street, Tonawanda, was arrested June 29 for menacing in the second degree and harassment in the second degree. Peeheler was involved in a dispute with a female on Canton Street. He was held for court.

June 30

DWI

Frank Mitri, 33, Fifth Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested June 30 for DWI, aggravated DWI, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving with no headlights. Mitri was driving in the wrong direction on Morgan Street when patrol pulled him over. He told patrol, “I had five bottles of bud light at the club in NT.” Mitri failed his field tests, BAC was .21.

Harassment

Shaqueena M. Miller, 24, Jasper Drive, Buffalo; Jessica R. Montgomery, 21, Capra Court, Charolette, NC; and Samantha E. Bishop, 22, Wagner Street, Sloan, were arrested June 30 for harassment in the second degree. All three women were involved in a disturbance at a house on Warren Drive, Tonawanda. They were released on appearance tickets.

Assault

Thomas D. Miskell, 51, Grove Street, Tonawanda, was arrested June 30 for assault in the third degree, criminal contempt and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Miskell was involved in an altercation with a female and in violation of a retraining order with that female. During the booking process, law enforcement found unknown pills in Miskell’s pocket.

July 1

Harassment

Richard A. Balling, 38, Kohler Street, Tonawanda, was arrested July 1 for harassment in the second degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree. Balling was found asleep in a neighbors yard around 2 a.m. on Kohler Street. He was held for court.

July 2

Possession

Sean S. Vungaro, 20, Fletcher Street, Tonawanda, and Jayson J. Wynkoop, 21, Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, were arrested July 2 for unlawful possession of marijuana. Vungaro and Wynkoop were observed smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle, located outside of a convenient store on Delaware. They were released on appearance tickets.

Mischief

Heidi M. Elizalde, 51, Stonington Lane, Getzville, was arrested July 1 for criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal trespass in the second degree.

Lewdness

Amber L. Considine, 32, Marion Street, North Tonawanda, was arrested July 1 for public lewdness.

Lewdness

Brendan J. Anderson, 36, Oliver Street, north Tonawanda, was arrested July 1 for public lewdness. BAC was .23.

July 2

Robbery

Savannah M. Panepinto, 26, South lane, North Tonawanda, was arrested July 2 for robbery in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and harassment in the second degree.
