Lockport Police Reports for the week of July 30

Police reports from the Lockport Police Department.
July 26
Charged
Reginald E. Tucker, 48, 6584 Dysinger Road, Apt. A22, Lockport and Paul D. Atkin, Jr., 24, 479 Hawley St., Lockport were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana July 26.
Patrol received information that a suspicious white Chevy Blazer was in the area possibly buying drugs. The caller said the vehicle had been in the area several times between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The caller stated the passenger would exit the vehicle, walk to the Gooding Street area and return several minutes later.
While in the area patrol observed a male enter the vehicle and it drove off. Patrol stopped the vehicle on North Transit Street and during the traffic stop a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
A quantity of marijuana was found between the passenger seat and the consol of the vehicle. Atkin and Tucker also possessed marijuana in their pant pockets.
July 29
Charged
David D. Griffin, III, 40, 22 Vanburen St., Apt. Side, Lockport was charged with second-degree harassment and first-degree criminal contempt July 29.
On July 28, patrol responded and spoke with the caller who stated she and Griffin were in an argument over his drinking problem. During the argument Griffon allegedly became upset and threw the contents of his beer bottle on the wall and ceiling.
The victim stated she began yelling at him to stop and he then threw his bottle, striking her. He then reportedly grabbed one of the family cats and drug it down the driveway yelling. The victim continued to follow Griffin and was able to take the cat back. He then took off form the area.
On July 29, the victim came to the Lockport Police Department stating Griffin had broken into the residence. Patrol responded and observed Griffin sitting on the couch in the residence. Griffin allegedly looked at officers and fled into another room.
He was found hiding in the first floor bathroom and was ordered out and taken into custody. According to police the subject appeared intoxicated and refused to cooperate during the booking process.
