Dec. 11

Criminal possession of a controlled substance

Ashanta Swygert, 32, of Transit Road, Depew was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to Target for a shoplifter. An employee stated that he saw the offender place items in her purse without paying for them. After a search of the offender’s purse and belongings the officer found four opened and an empty suboxone strip and five sealed suboxone strips. None of the nine strips were in a prescription bottle or container. She was charged and held on a $100 bail.

Dec. 12

Petit larceny

Tori Crawford, 19, of Gualbert Avenue, Cheektowaga was arrested for petit larceny.

According to a police report, a Target store employee stated that he observed the offender select property and then conceal it in her handbag. The employee stated that the offender did pass all points of purchase without paying. She was placed under arrest.

Dec. 13

Unlawful possession of marijuana

John Burns, 21, of Woodward Avenue, Kenmore was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for drifting from the northbound lane and crossing the yellow centerline. As the officer asked the offender for his license and registration, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. As the officer performed a pat down for safety, he felt a hard object in the offender’s pocket. The officer asked what it was and the offender stated, “I don’t know a pipe.” While searching the vehicle, the officer found a marijuana cigarette inside of the ashtray in the center console.

Driving with a .18 percent BAC

Justine Fedchak, 26, of Halstead Avenue, Sloan was arrested for driving with a .18 percent BAC.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for traffic violations and stated that she was coming from Gordy’s bar where she had three beers and is a bartender there. The offender attempted several sobriety tests, which she failed. She was placed under arrest for DWI. She agreed to a chemical test at police headquarters, which had a result of .19 percent BAC. Her license was also suspended for two scoffs for failure to pay a fine. She was released on a $250 cash bail per the watch commander.

Petit larceny

Kendra Rollins, 21, of Courtland Avenue, Buffalo was arrested for petit larceny.

According to a police report, an employee of Old Navy stated that he observed the offender select merchandise, conceal it in her purse and in another shopping bag. The offender then passed all points of purchase without attempting to pay for the property. The offender was taken to the backroom until the police arrived. She was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.

Dec. 14

DWI

Anna Kreibel, 24, of Milford Street, Buffalo was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

According to a police report, the offender’s vehicle was sitting on the Kensington Expressway. The offender was in the backseat, covered up by a blanket. The ignition key was in the ignition but the engine was off. The left front tire was shredded and there was damage to the vehicle on all sides, including a busted driver’s window and a cracked windshield. The offender was incoherent and confused and stated that she had hit what she thought was a guard rail in Buffalo and drove toward home for as far as she could before having to stop on the flat tire. The offender did not have a phone, so she climbed in the back seat to cover up and stay warm until help arrived. The offender screened positive for alcohol and was transported to police headquarters for booking.

Dec. 15

Driving with a .08 percent BAC

Jacob Barbour, 46, of Stanton Street, Buffalo was arrested for driving with a .08 percent BAC.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for having a loud muffler. After a check of his NYS identification, it showed that he had no license. He was asked to perform several sobriety tests, which he failed. The offender was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and held on a $300 bail.

DWI

Kevin Fortin, 25, of Culver Street, Buffalo was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for weaving between lanes. As soon as the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed that the offender’s eyes were glassy, and his speech was impaired. When the offender got out of the vehicle, he had an unsteady balance. He was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to police headquarters for booking.

DWI

Charlie Piechockihall, 34, of Gierlach Street, Sloan was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for driving erratically. The offender stated that she did not realize she was driving over the fog line and was going to her residence after leaving a party at the Marriott Hotel where she had one drink. While the offender was speaking to the officers, she showed signs of intoxication. Her vehicles inspection was also expired. She was asked to perform several sobriety tests, which she failed. She refused the alcohol sensor test and was placed under arrest by officers for DWI.

Dec. 16

Driving with a .18 percent BAC

Taryn Zak, 27, of Greenleaf Lane, Cheektowaga was arrested for driving with a .18 percent BAC.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for weaving in between traffic lanes. The offender had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. The offender’s eyes were glassy and her speech was impaired. When the offender got out of the vehicle, the offender had an unsteady balance. She was asked to perform several sobriety tests, which she failed. She was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to police headquarters for booking.

Unlawful possession of marijuana

Joshua Wolff, 23, of Gardenvillage Drive, Cheektowaga was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

According to a police report, the offender was pulled over for an incomplete stop at a stop sign. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer noticed a burned marijuana roach in the center console area under the parking brake. The officer also noticed more loose marijuana around the center console area. After a search of the vehicle, a baggie of marijuana was also found. The offender was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
