Man sentenced to jail for petit larceny

On Thursday, June 21, an Alden man was sentenced to 90 days in jail for stealing a car and credit card from a friend.
Jeffrey Kolb was staying overnight with a friend on Sandra Drive in Cheektowaga May 5, 2012.
When the friend awoke in the morning she discovered that her car and a credit were stolen and Kolb had left the home.
The victim received a phone call from the Amherst Federal Credit Union informing her that several hundred dollars had been taken out of her account after five separate transactions were made.
Kolb was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul Piotrowski gave Jeffrey M. Kolb, 46, of East Drive Alden a 90-day sentence to the Erie County Correction Facility after considering the extensive criminal record of Kolb who has numerous arrests and convictions in the past.
Kolb pled guilty to Petit Larceny on June 21.
