Dec. 8
Burglary
Tracy N. Shannon, 42, 5724 Glendale Dr., Apt. 1, Lockport was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child Dec. 8.
Patrol responded to Elmwood Avenue in reference to a domestic incident. Upon arrival, the reporting officer observed Shannon trying to leave the scene. He was detained and the victim was interviewed.
She stated she was in her apartment with her boyfriend and son and heard a loud noise. She looked down the stairwell and noticed Shannon entered the house, while yelling and shouting at her.
He then allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck, trying to choke her and scratched her neck.
Shannon’s actions placed the victim in fear for her safety. This all occurred in front of her 9-year-old son.
The damage to the door was approximately $50.
Dec. 10
Harassment
Michael Shawn Clines, 46, 45 Locust St., Apt. Upper, Lockport was charged Monday with second-degree harassment.
Patrol responded to Eastern Niagara Hospital and spoke with the victim, who said he was speaking to Clines about a cellular phone. The victim had Cline’s phone at his apartment and agreed to return it.
He told police Clines grabbed him and threw him to his seat. The fall re-injured the victim’s back, which has a history of surgery and injury.
Dec. 11
Possession
Edward K. Washburn, Jr., 34, 80 Genesee St., Apt. 1-4, Lockport was charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Patrol observed Washburn walking on Genesee Street with a second party. The second person threw garbage on the street corner and patrol stopped them.
While speaking with Washburn, patrol noticed he was extremely nervous. It was also learned he had an unknown amount of marijuana up his rectum.
Patrol transported Washburn to the police department where he attempted to retrieve the marijuana unsuccessfully.
At that time Washburn was transported to ENH in Lockport, where the hospital staff was able to retrieve the marijuana in a clear, baggie.
Inside the bag were 10 individually wrapped bags containing a green, leafy, vegetable matter, each weighing about one ounce, as well as another clear plastic bag with about two ounces of a green, leafy, vegetable matter. The matter field-tested positive for marijuana.
Larceny
Elizabeth A. Marlett, 28, 107 Genesee St., Apt. 4, Lockport was charged Tuesday with petit larceny.
The victim told police on Dec. 8 the suspect came to his room asking for money. She stated she needed the money to buy medicine for her 22-month-old child.
The victim let the suspect in while he retrieved the money for her. He stated he noticed her leaning over on the couch to see what he was doing. After he gave her $5 she left the residence.
The victim noticed about two hours later his plastic change holder was missing. There was about $8 in quarters in the holder that were also stolen. He said no one else was in his apartment the day his money went missing.
Dec. 12
Charged
David M. Soulvie, 33, 5625 Keck Road, Apt. 7, Lockport was charged Wednesday with petit larceny.
On Dec. 2, a victim came to the Lockport Police Department to report he was giving the suspect a ride when they stopped on Spruce Street. The victim got out of the vehicle and when he returned Soulvie had left and allegedly was running down the street.
The victim then realized the suspect had removed money from the visor valued at $8.
Harassment
Mark E. Bolden, 25, 131 Gooding St., Lockport was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment.
Patrol responded to 77 Main St. for a report of harassment. Patrol encountered the victim who reported she had been shoved and struck by her ex-boyfriend Bolden.
The victim stated she was talking to him and they began to argue. Bolden then allegedly, with two hands, shoved her and then open hand slapped her across the face.
