Lockport police reports for the week of Aug. 13

Police reports from the Lockport Police Department.
Aug. 9
Larceny
Beverly A. Williams, 52, 6493 Dysinger Road, Apt. 8, Lockport was charged with petit larceny Aug. 9.
Patrol was dispatched to Rite Aid Pharmacy on Washburn Street for a report of a petit larceny. Upon arrival, patrol spoke with a witness who stated at 11:45 a.m. the defendant was walking out of the store when she set off the alarm system.
The witness advised Williams to come back through the sensors. She began to walk back toward the pharmacy and stated her boyfriend made her do it. She then allegedly took two packages of Hanes men’s t-shirts, valued at $33.88, out of her purse.
Aug. 10
Endangerment
Eugene F. Barger, 26, 193 Park Ave., Apt. Upper, Lockport was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and disorderly conduct Aug. 10.
An anonymous caller contacted the police department stating an intoxicated male was walking along Locust Street dragging a young female by her hair.
Patrol was working the concert on Locust Street and observed Barge, who matched the provided description, dragging a juvenile victim along.
When they approached him, police reported he appeared highly intoxicated and confused. While interviewing Barger, he allegedly repeatedly pulled the juvenile victim’s hair and hit her in the head while trying to grab her.
Patrol separated the parties and continued to interview Barger, where he reportedly became belligerent and repeatedly yelled obscenities.
He was advised to stop using obscene language but continued and a crowd began to gather in the area.
Assault
Kristen Louise Wallace, 30, 10 Bristol Ave., Lockport was charged with third-degree assault Aug. 10.
Patrol responded to the above location for a fight. Patrol units located Wallace hiding in the rear of the store and appeared intoxicated. Witnesses said Wallace entered the store and appeared intoxicated and agitated. She allegedly walked up to the victim and stated, “What are you looking at” and then slapped her across the face.
Wallace reportedly grabbed the victim by the hair and struck her in the face and the back of her head repeatedly. The attack lasted two minutes.
Aug. 11
Charged
Andrew J. Cornelius, 20, 101 Genesee St., Apt. 7, Lockport was charged with third-degree assault and third-degree menacing Aug 11.
Police responded to Genesee Street for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, patrol spoke with the victim who stated during a verbal argument with her boyfriend Cornlius, he had shoved her and struck her in the stomach. The victim is pregnant and was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital for treatment.
Aug. 12
DWI
Alexandra E. Silvestri, 21, 190 N. Fourth St., Apt. Upper, Lewiston was charged with driving while intoxicated Aug. 12.
Patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic infraction. Patrol stopped the vehicle and the driver was interviewed. Patrol could smell an odor of alcohol coming from Silvestri and she stated she had been drinking.
She had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. She was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which she failed.
Aug. 13
Harassment
Curtis E. Hunter, 27, 36 South Transit St. Apt. 2, Lockport was charged Monday with second-degree harassment, petit larceny and third-degree menacing.
On Aug. 9, police responded to Spalding Street for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, patrol spoke with the victim who states she was involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend Hunter. The victim stated he had pushed her against a wall and proceeded to pull her around by her hair.
Hunter then allegedly took the victim’s Samsung digital camera and left. The camera is valued at $70.
