West Valley airman Steven Engels graduates from basic training

Air Force Reserve Airman First Class Steven Engels recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, located in San Antonio, Texas.
Engels completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitnessbasic warfare principles and military skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree with a concentration in applied science.
The new airman is the son of Tim and Francis Engels of West Valley. He graduated from West Valley Central School in 2004.
