To honor his father, Theron G. Forbes, who was an organist, pianist and teacher for 35 years, Carl Forbes, center, along with his wife, Judy, establish a restoration fund for the Hollywood Theater's pipe organ. Kicking off the fundraising effort with a check for $1,000, the Forbes' made the presentation on Friday evening, Aug. 17, with Steve Cocca, left, accepting the generous donation on behalf of the Hollywood Theater Board. Once work is complete on the theater and the Wurlitzer organ, the past will come alive again for the many who frequented the historic Hollywood for stage presentations and movies.
