“Yellow Car I Win! A story of Beans and Roses” is the second fundraising book project completed by Rick Manzone, local editorial cartoonist and poet.
“Yellow Car I Win” is a compilation of poems and stories by those living with or affected by cystic fibrosis. The book was created in honor of Christine “Beans” Padasak, a lifelong resident of Springville, who passed away last year after a 22-year battle with the disease.
The book is available at Springville Homewear and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Manzone’s first book, “12 Hours of Hope,” was created to raise funds for the Springville Relay for Life and cancer research.
