College students interning at Springville Center for the Arts

The interns will participate in children’s theater productions, including “Rumpelstiltskin” to be performed in area elementary schools, and will also facilitate a number of children’s workshops this summer. They will create the curriculum for and execute two musical theater workshops, a modified Shakespeare program and other children’s programs.
Meghan Palmer from the State University of New York at Fredonia is a sophomore musical theater major and said she is “thrilled to become a member of the Springville Center for the Arts family.” She has performed in productions such as “Seussical the Musical” and “Bye Bye Birdie.”
Elizabeth Buehler of Cincinnati, Ohio, is studying dance, arts for children and childhood education at The College at Brockport. She has performed in the children’s musical, “The Dancing Spider” and “Honk! Junior.”
Erica Miranda Diedrich is a recent graduate of Niagara University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre performance with a double minor in fine arts and communications. Some of her performances at NU included “Wonder of the World” and “Anything Goes.”
Taylor Burkey will join the center following her freshman year at New York University where she is pursuing a BFA in drama in the experimental theatre wing at Tisch School of the Arts. Some of her performances included “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
