Karate tournament champions announced

Students from Galati Kempo Karate won top spots in their age divisions in a recent Karate tournament held at North Collins High School. From left, Derrick Overhoff placed second in sparring in the 9-year-old intermediate division, David Overhoff took first place in sparring in the 11-year-old intermediate division and Dillion Timmel placed second in sparring in the 14-year-old advanced division. The boys all placed in an earlier tournament in the spring with Derrick and Dillion both taking first place and David a second place in their respective classes. In the last two years all three have taken first or second place in their division.
