WVCS’ Hebdon named student of the year

West Valley Central School junior Megan Hebdon joined a group of other students from around Western New York to receive Student of the Year awards for work done through Jamestown Community College’s College Connections Program. WVCS currently offers four business and computer courses for JCC college credits and, in the fall, will add economics.
Hebdon is the daughter of Rachel and Kevin Hebdon of West Valley. She was nominated for this award by her business teacher, Cathie Benz, who said, “Megan has a positive attitude in everything that she does” and “is always willing to figure out a problem on her own and then help guide others, if needed.”
Hebdon said that her future goals include going on to attend a college to study business or marketing.
