Maximum Force Wrestling returns to Gowanda

PEOPLE’S CHAMPION — Dave “Primal Warfare” Coia was declared the Maximum Force Wrestling’s interim heavyweight champion on Saturday, Sept. 15 during “Full Throttle” at the Gowanda Moose.

GOWANDA — A sold-out crowd attended Maximum Force Wrestling’s “Full Throttle” presentation at the Gowanda Moose Home on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The event lasted for more than 2 hours and involved a variety of matches. Bouts ranged from a women’s match to a tag-team title bout and featured a rope elimination, royal rumble-style battle that featured nearly 20 wrestlers, with the MFW heavyweight title as the prize.

“The High-Flying Machine” Shadokat and Dave “Primal Warpath” Coia were last in the ring, with “Rebel” Rick Abbey and Kwan Chang. Kwan, from “The Evil Canadian Uprising,” and Coia became the last two left in the ring.

MFW owner Sherri Lyn Litz presented the MFW heavyweight championship belt to Coia, the new interim champion. He was named the interim champion because the actual champion, “Big Time” Bill Collier, could not compete, due to injury. Collier and Coia will face each other some time in the future, to determine which is the heavyweight champion.

MFW will return to the Gowanda Moose on Saturday, Oct. 27 for its annual “mania style” show, Maximum Impact 4.
