Jay Seider named coach of the year

SPRINGVILLE –– Jay Seider of Belle Glade, Fla., formerly of Springville, was named girls track coach of the year for 2011 – 12. The award presentation will take place Jan. 11 at the hall of fame induction luncheon, held in conjunction with the Florida Athletics Coaches Association and M-F athletics clinic in Daytona Beach.
In addition to naming the former Springville resident the coach of the year, the hall of fame board of directors have added him to the candidates’ list for nomination to the FACA to the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for the National Girls Track Coach of the Year Award.
