Lancaster Parks & Recreation adult volleyball weekly highlights

LANCASTER- We are a few weeks into the Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department’s adult volleyball leagues as volleyball becomes a nice respite for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
Our spotlight teams to start off this season series are sharing no ill effects from the holiday. In Men’s Tuesday Night League Steve Besch’s Good Tymes South leads the division, while Roxie Weber’s Good Tymes South and Jessica Kremers Green Buffalo Pub pace our “A” ladies both at seven and two.
Men’s League
Tuesday Night League: Division leader Good Tymes South-Besch goes to eight and one with a three to zero sweep of Sal’s-Rudz. Frank’s is in second as they took out the Green Buffalo Pub Wife Dodgers by three to zero count. Good Tymes South-Ziegler takes two of three from the Attack in the best match of the evening.
Wednesday Night “A” League: Team Steinel continues along perfect for the year as they blank Green Buffalo Pub-Klock three to zero. The Free Agents have a strong evening as they sweep Elma Town Grille-Schlesinger three to zip.
Wednesday Night “B” League: The Chucksters draw closer to division leader Elma Towne Grille-Beltz by taking two of three from them. Green Buffalo Pub-Nuwer sweep the Bumpin Uglies three to zero to move into a tie for second with the Chucksters.

“A” League: Green Buffalo Pub-Kremer takes three from the Basil Ford Outlaws to continue to hold onto a share of first with Good Tymes South-Weber who swept Frank’s-Rudz three to zip. Fassel’s Upholstery moves up in the standings as they took a pair from Fireside Inn-Jansma. Galveston’s is third in “A” after taking two from Fireside Inn-Hubert.
“B1” League: Fireside Inn-Guari leads “B1” after a two to one defeat of the Frank’s Hot Saucies. Maryann’s is second place as they took two of three from the Crusaders. The Side Out Sisters have a strong evening in a two to one conquest of the Dietrick Law Firm.
“B2” League: The entire division is within one game of itself. The Volleydolls win two of three from Fireside Inn-Jerebko. Hit ‘n Run sweep DeRonde Tire out of first with a three to zero win over them. Frank’s-Wohlrab defeats the Spinoffs two to one, making the entire division five and four or four and five.
“C” League: Division leader Smith’s Gun Shop remains perfect for the year as they sweep the Desperate Housewives three to zip. Bridal Chateau wins its first game and sets of the year with a three to zero defeat of the Nite Crew. The Caster Gurls are a respectable four and five after a two to one win over Good Tymes South-Rutkowski. Serves You Right is in second a game back of the leader at eight and one after taking two of three from the Villagers.
